Disability Support Workers
Pathways Support Services provides full-time supported independent living accommodation services and on demand in-home care to enable NDIS participants to live with greater independence.

As our business grows, we have opportunities for committed, caring and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our team.

In this role you will be responsible for providing positive mentorship, guidance and goal-focussed active support to our clients that focus on increasing their life skills and independence so they have every opportunity to develop to the fullest extent of their abilities and desires.
You will have previous experience in a similar role that has required you to establish a warm and personal relationship with clients, to encourage their active participation within the community and to provide guidance with establishing healthy relationships inside and outside of the home.
You will be passionate about working with young people and people with disabilities and display a readiness to go above and beyond in order to promote a positive environment.

This role is a part-time position and will require a large amount of flexibility. The shifts you will be required to work will be based on the client’s support and lifestyle needs (e.g. the days and times they are at home) and will require you do complete sleepover shifts.
Previous experience and appropriate qualifications or an investment in completing further study is a must for this position.

- Experience in dealing with people with Autism and intellectual disabilities
- Supporting individuals with complex needs
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact with build strong rapport with clients
- Great written and verbal skills

- Support with daily living skills
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Cert III or IV in Disability, Youth Work or Mental Health or relevant experience
Current Blue Card & Yellow Card
Current First Aid and CPR certificate
Current drivers licence and own transport
